On today's episode, Jimmy talks about...
Prosperity
The Hebrew word for prosperity is 'Tsalach'.
Tsalach can be translated into: to rush, to advance, make progress, and be profitable.
What does prosperity look like?
The bible talks about three forms of prosperity.
Physical - God has made a promise to keep us healthy
Spiritual - God has made a promise to give us salvation
Material - God has made a promise to provide for us
How do we gain prosperity?
We gain prosperity by being faithful to Jesus Christ and the Gospel.
Prosperity can be gained through faithfulness and obedience. (Deuteronomy 28:12-14)
Long life, honor, material and spiritual prosperity are all results of wisdom that comes from fearing the Lord and living righteously. (Proverbs 1:7; 3:13-16; 8:12-20)
Hard work is also given as a prerequisite of material prosperity, while both laziness and oppression are causes of poverty. (Proverbs 10:4; 12:27; 20:13)
Jesus teaches on prosperity and wealth. (Matthew 19:16-30)
